Justin Bieber Has Officially Graduated High School
Justin Bieber is officially a high school graduate. Congratulations!
They grow up so fast, don’t they? It seems like it was only yesterday that Justin Bieber was a tiny little pipsqueak whose voice had yet to change—and now he’s officially graduated high school. Congratulations, little Biebs!
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Justin, who turned 18 back in March, finished all of his required coursework and has subsequently become an official member of the St. Michael Catholic Secondary School’s class of 2012. Alas, the teen star couldn’t actually be at the graduation ceremony in his hometown of Stratford, Ontario (no doubt he’s busy preparing for the Teen Choice Awards on July 22), but his name was featured in the program. Awww.
Wait a minute—isn’t St. Michael in Canada? Hasn’t Justin been living in California for a while? How on earth did he manage to graduate from a high school located in a different country? Easy: The Internet. Going to college online has become fairly common, so it’s not too much of a surprise that high school is following in its tracks. St. Michael requires students to complete 30 credits, 16 of which are mandatory courses, in order to graduate; the Biebs completed his requirements through e-learning, though the specific classes he took haven’t been revealed.
Congrats once again, Biebs! May your diploma see you in good stead!
