Prabal Gurung for Target

Remember the fashion frenzy that struck when Missoni for Target hit stores back in 2011? Well, the style world has predicted that pieces from the upcoming Prabal Gurung for Target will fly off shelves in much the same way.

And after practically drooling over the line’s just-dropped look book, we can see why. Chock full of flirty floral pieces and romantic spring hues, the 80+ piece collection does not disappoint. You can expect whimsical prints, pleated skirts, dazzling sandals, pumps, and flats, and more than enough blue-hued pieces to go around.

Best of all, most items will sell for under $50 (if our wallets could breathe sighs of relief, they would), including shoes. The most expensive offering is an electric blue leather jacket for $199.

“This is a collection I have imagined and dreamed about for a long time,” Gurung told Elle.com. “I am a romantic at heart and truly believe in love. I worked closely with Target to design a collection inspired by romance that is also affordable—the experience was incredible to say the least.”

In the past, respected design houses like Jason Wu, Rodarte, and Proenza Schouler have collaborated with the mega retailer. Gurung’s hotly-anticipated line is slated for a February 10, 2013 release date. Who else just added one or two (or five) of these pieces to her Valentine’s Day wish list?
