Jessica Chastain, Diane Kruger and Salma Hayek Glittered at Cannes
Jada Pinkett Smith forgot to smile, and Naomi Watts looked like an angel at Cannes this past weekend.
It seems as if Cannes was one big, gorgeous red carpet event after another. While you could look at after gown after gown –we did, though we don’t recommend it as it causes gown and handsome escort (eye candy) envy –we saved you the trouble and rounded up some stunning looks for your delectation instead. Feast your eyes on rose gold gowns worn by Jessica Chastain and Diane Kruger. Bold brown (yes, it works) on Salma Hayek and an ethereal Naomi Watts. We’re not sure what Sarah Marshall was trying to prove on the red carpet or if it worked.
The big trend was diamonds and fishtail gowns. It all started with Eva Longoria on the first night. Her feathered train was longer than her petite body. And it looked smashing!
Let’s just get to the best and worst dressed of the past few days.
Once again—or is it the third time that Jane Fonda owns the red carpet? She’s wearing a custom made Roberto Cavalli beaded gown with a modified fishtail train.
All eyes were definitely on Salma Hayek when she strutted down the red carpet in a Gucci Premiere beaded mermaid gown with a chiffon underskirt at the Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted premiere.
Jada Pinkett Smith
We have two photos of Jada Pinkett Smith on the red carpet. She wore the orange Atelier Versace gown to the Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted premiere. The turquoise Alberta Ferretti gown she wore for the movie’s photocall. Yes, she looks beautiful, but she’d look even better if she cracked a smile.
At the Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted premiere, Naomi Watts took our breath away in a nude beaded and feather appliquéd Marchesa gown. Oh yeah, and it does have a fishtail hem. Is anyone counting?
Love the leopard! Michelle Rodriguez‘s ballgown was a knockout.
Black and white and oh so dazzling! Paz Vega’s Stéphane Rolland Spring 2012 Couture gown was quite daring indeed.
In a sea of pastel and monochromatic gowns, Berenice Bejo’s bejeweled coral and turquoise Prada gown was a visual feast.
This rose gold metallic gown by Gucci is perfectly suited for Jessica Chastain’s champagne personality.
Another rose gold dress on the red carpet. Diane Kruger looks like a dream in this custom Vivienne Westwood gown.
Cheryl Cole, Sarah Marshall and other badly dressed celebs up next!
