Have you ever wondered which celeb would be the best cook or holiday party guest? Yeah, so have we. Luckily for the gals who have stars on their minds this season, HomeGoods has done the legwork for us!
Conducted by researchers at Wakefield, the HomeGoods Survey polled 1,008 adults in the U.S. to learn how various stars would fare in a festive little showdown.
Bettys, which celebrity would you want to sit next to you at that food coma-inducing holiday feast? If you said Jennifer Aniston, about 30 percent of those polled would have agreed with you. We’re expecting some fierce competition to snag a seat next to this leading lady!
Coming in second with 21 percent of the vote was Kate Middleton. And despite the endless royal wedding coverage, we’d have to say that we wouldn’t mind hearing a little palace gossip from this princess. In third with 16 percent was heartthrob Brad Pitt. All we have to say to that is YUM! Rounding out the top five were Charlie Sheen with 12 percent and Ashton Kutcher and Kim Kardashian with 11 percent each. We don’t mind funny man Ashton, but the voters who chose Charlie and Kim can keep ‘em.

Foodies, take note: Paula Deen took the vote for the most in-demand holiday chef with 37 percent of the vote. In her wake was Gordon Ramsay from Hell’s Kitchen with 20 percent of the vote, Martha Stewart with 14 percent, Giada De Laurentiis and Tom Colicchio with 10 percent each and Anthony Bourdain with 9 percent.
And if you want to make that holiday bash totally unforgettable, 31 percent of people polled said Rachael Ray would be the perfect guest! Jay Leno and Kelly Ripa tied for second with 17 percent of the vote, followed by Conan O’Brien with 16 percent, Chelsea Handler with 11 percent, and Rosie O’Donnell with 9 percent.
HomeGoods also funded a study that might just pull the plug on that popular practice known as re-gifting. The nationwide survey found that 65 percent of people believe that they’ve been on the receiving end of a re-gift. But many of them were probably just as guilty of re-wrapping that neon holiday sweater and handing it off to someone else! As it turns out, 54 percent of Americans have re-gifted a present and 36 percent did it more than once.
Just remember: if you manage to snag a celeb guest this season, don’t be caught re-gifting and invite us over!
