Okay, so we already know that Jill Zarin, Alex McCord, Kelly Bensimon, and Cindy Barshop have been booted off of The Real Housewives of New York. That leaves Ramon Singer, Sonja Morgan, and Countess LuAnn with a couple of lonely, empty spots next to them. But what’s this? Buzz about the new cast members? Ooo, do tell!

People reported today that a “source close to the show” revealed information about the new cast to them. Allegedly, this season the cast will include someone in the fashion biz, a philanthropist and mom of three, and a writer. Then People pointed to the New York Daily News for these three mysterious individuals’ names. Ready? Drumroll, please; they are:

Writer Carole Radziwill; (seen left above)

Fashion designer Heather Thomson; (center)

And philanthropist Aviva Drescher. (right)

Well! This could be an interest bunch! Radziwill used to work for ABC News with the likes of Peter Jennings and Diane Sawyer; after the loss of her husband to cancer in 1999, though, she left ABC News to write a memoir. What Remains: A Memoir of Fate, Friendship and Love later became a New York Times Best Seller. Thomson, on the other hand, is the driving force behind Yummie Tummie shapewear. Finally, Wall Street wife Drescher is married to the founder of Spencer Clarke Securities & Investment Banking, and she’s got a passel of kids to take care of. I’m not even a major follower of the show, but I’m intrigued enough about these three women to consider tuning in. Just imagine what hijinks this group could get up to!

Bravo hasn’t confirmed the rumors yet, but given that the last time that happened-- e.g., when they fired the other four women-- the rumors turned out to be true, we think it’s a pretty good bet that this is, in fact, the new RHONY cast. How exciting!
