I sort of love how any day there’s major Kardashian news, there’s also major Lohan news. It’s like the two most hated families in America are taking it upon themselves to wage a war about who can get gossiped about the most.

Anyway, remember back when Michael Lohan got arrested (again) in October, he claimed to be suffering from chest pains? Though at the time it looked a wee bit like a way to distract the cops trying to arrest him, it’s now looking like there’s something much more serious going on. According to Radar Online, Michael collapsed during an Acoholic’s Anonymous meeting on Tuesday and was promptly hauled off to the hospital.

“Michael started to feel light headed during his meeting,” said Radar’s source, “so he walked outside, and that’s when he collapsed.” The source continued, “He was taken in an ambulance to Palm Beach Gardens Hospital where doctors found yet another blood clot in his lung.” The docs gave Michael medication intended to break down the clot; they also put him through both a CAT scan and an MRI to make sure the clot hadn’t traveled to his brain.

Michael’s had a rough time of it lately, medically speaking; in December, he had surgery to unclog an artery and repair blockage in his heart, after which he developed a staph infection. Then again, he IS an absolute cad, so maybe it’s karma. Who knows?

Radar’s source noted that it’s unknown when Michael will be released from the hospital. When he is, he’ll be sent immediately back to rehab. Again. Which is probably a good thing. I wonder what he's got to say about having been left out of the Lohan family Christmas card picture this year?
