After Crystal Harris and Hugh Hefner broke off their engagement just days before the wedding, one question was very firmly on a lot of people’s minds: What was going to happen to the engagement ring? Well, TMZ thinks they’ve found out: Crystal might just be putting it on the auction block at Christie’s next month.

It’s a beauty, isn’t it? Hef didn’t settle for mere gold—this ring is platinum, and it’s set with a 3.39 carat circular-cut diamond.

And hey, look what showed up on the Christie’s website!:

However, it hasn’t been confirmed that this is, in fact, Crystal’s ring, so maybe we should still take this news with a pretty hefty grain of salt. It might just be a remarkably similar ring. Stranger things have happened.

Interestingly, though, the worth Crystal’s ring was estimated at $90,000 according to the Daily Mail, while the ring listed on the Christie’s website is expected to fetch only $20,000 to $30,000 at auction. If it IS Crystal’s, maybe she just wants to get rid of the damn thing as quickly as possible; after all, $30,000 is still nothing to sneeze at. I mean, I could live off of $30,000 for an entire year—even in New York, where the ridiculously high cost of living terrifies its denizens daily.

Then again, Hef is the one who’s out $90,000, so if we should be feeling sorry for anyone, maybe it’s him. Women can be cruel. Isn’t that right, Hef?
