How to Make 2013 Your Year of Love
A new year calls for a new and improved love life. Take charge in 2013!
Happy New Year! You’ve made it through 2012, and now you’ve started 2013. Whether you’re in a relationship already, or you’re on the hot pursuit of someone new, see 2013 as the Year of Love.
Here’s how to do it:
Image Your Ideal Love Life and Make It Happen
You’ve dealt with enough misery in love. Don’t allow it to control you anymore. Flip the script and control it.
Imagine what you want your love life to be like. Maybe you want to wake up every morning with a smile on your face because you have the best guy in the world, or you want to receive special little tokens of love a few times a day. Whatever you want, you can have it.
If you’re already in a relationship, work with your boyfriend. Have him write down what he would like to add to the relationship to make it more fun and loving, and you do the same. Get together and talk about what you both have included in your list. Refer to them often to include them into your day, and see how much more great your love life will become.
If you’re single, seek out someone who will fit into your imagery of love. You may need to set up more dates by turning to singles events, blind dates, or the Internet. The more people you meet, the higher your chances of finding the man of your dreams.
Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff in Love
Almost everyone takes advantage of their love life. They don’t realize how great it really is, and end up turning small problems into colossal ones.
Whenever you frown at something in your relationship, decide how important it is to you. If not’s that important to you, let it go. Tell yourself that it’s not a big deal, and don’t think about it again. If you do think about it again, attack it by talking to your boyfriend about it, or doing something to avoid the situation again.
If you’re single, don’t let a bad date get you down. You will likely not find the love your life with the first date you go on in 2013. Learn from your bad date, and try to carry that lesson to other ones. Before you know it, you’ll be able to tell if someone is going to work out or not just by having a five minute conversation with him.
