Most women are plagued with dark circles at some point in their lives, if not constantly. Banish dark circles for good with these must-have tips from celebrity makeup artist for Physicians Formula, Joanna Schlip, who has worked with Megan Fox, Kim Cattrall and Christina Applegate.

When working with dark under eye circles either on-set with celebrities or in everyday life, Joanna stresses that “color correction is key!” Remember that yellow cancels blue; try applying a yellow tinted concealer in the inner corner of the eye and blend outward. As soon as you pat it in, you’ll notice that the blue/purple shadows are instantly canceled (even without putting flesh-toned concealer on!).

If eyelids are red, dot green concealer on top. Not only will the green cancel any redness, but it will show the true color of your colored eye cosmetics. (This same trick can be used around a red nose or on a blemish- crucial for masking allergies or a cold!)

After the yellow and green concealers are blended with fingertips, apply a flesh-tone concealer with a high color concentration on top. Be sure to dab and blend so that the yellow or green is completely disguised.

***Beauty Side Note: It’s important to use mineral makeup near the sensitive eye area!

Complete the look by using a pink highlighter on the brow bone, down the bridge of the nose and along cheekbones to provide a subtle glow.

Also try applying highlighter around the lip line to make lips appear fuller!
