We know a lot of DWTS fans who are just as awed by the professional dancers as by the celebrities. Their moves are silky-smooth, and what may be even more important, and their bodies are amazing.

But in between seasons, Chelsie Hightower and other dancers like Edyta Sliwinska and Kym Johnson have to keep up their rock-hard bods, and that can get a little complicated during the festive holiday season. To get through that danger zone, Chelsie, who’s done a DVD with Edyta and Kym, told People magazine her most important rules:

*You can eat what you want; just don’t overeat. “If you deprive yourself, you’ll want something more, give in and feel bad about it later.”
*Keep up your activity level. “Every single day I do one hour of something – DVD workouts, dance. I use stretch bands. And when I’m traveling, I work out at the hotel.”
*Work out with a buddy. “Anytime I want to buckle down and do something, my mom and I do it together. When you have a buddy, you have someone to talk to, to motivate you.

Chelsie didn’t say it, but she, Edyta and Kym are probably hoping that you’ll work out to their two newly released dance exercise DVDs, Dancing with the Stars: Fat Burning Cardio Dance and Dancing with the Stars: Ballroom Buns & Abs. And according to Chelsie, the DVDs are strictly hard-core. “I was huffing and puffing the whole time,” she told People.
