H&M’s The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Lookbook Is Seriously Kick-Ass
All it takes is a quick trip to H&M to snag Lisbeth Salander’s ‘Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’ look!
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’s hacker extraordinaire Lisbeth Salander never actually wanted to be a style icon, but that’s just what she may become after the December 14, 2011 debut of this H&M collection. Speaking too soon? Well, while we didn’t actually get a chance to check out these designs in person, we did take a peek at the collection’s newly-released lookbook.
And we think it’s pretty badass! Though we might not be rushing to scoop up the so-so distressed tees, we’d chase down criminals with Lis if she paid us in these gorgeous leather jackets.
The H&M Divided collection features leather pants, a dark denim vest that we expect will be one of the first pieces to fly off shelves, boots, and the punk prodigy’s trademark hoodies. Ranging from a mere $3.95 for small accessories to $199 for one of the leather jackets we’re drooling over, you can also keep your feet fashionable this winter with a pair of booties for under $60!
We owe major props to the film’s costume designer, Trish Summerville– after all, this line was her brainchild. Bringing Salander’s style to the masses via a chain store collection takes some serious talent!
Oh, and New Yorkers, you might want to check out the H&M pop-up shop in Manhattan’s Meatpacking district from December 14 to December 16, 2011. The store, which will be located on 72 Gansevoort, will also feature a cyber café.
Predicted winter trends: heavy eyeliner, ripped tees, and leather jackets a la Salander. We’re not sure if the anti-fashion crime fighter would approve of all the hoopla, but that’s not stopping us from raiding our local H&M for quite a few items from the 30-piece collection!
