When you think about rum, do you think of either the classic daiquiri or pirates? Well today is National Rum Day and the 14 recipes we’ve collected will make you re-think rum! There’s the tasty Ginger Strawberry Rumble, a passionfruit flavored Bittersweet Affair, the Coconut Moccachino and the really tasty Ron’s Favorite Flip!

1. Ginger Strawberry Rumble

2 ounce. Appleton Estate Reserve

Muddled Strawberry

1/2 ounce Fresh lemon juice

3/4 ounce Canton Ginger Liqueur

Directions:

Use a double Old Fashioned (12-14ounce) glass, crushed or pellet ice and garnish with a sliced strawberry and ginger candy.

Muddle fruit, add rest of the ingredients and shake with 2 ice cubes. Pour into Double Old Fashioned glass. Top with crushed or pellet ice and garnish

2. The Communal Punch

Ingredients:

1 ounce Appleton Estate Reserve

1 ounce Appleton Estate 12 Year Old

1 1/2 ounce African Rooibos Red Tea (15 tea bags to 1gl of boiling water steep till strong & dark)

3/4 ounce Pineapple juice

3/4 ounce Fresh lemon juice

1/2 ounce Demerara syrup (1-1 demerara sugar & water)

1/2 ounce Ginger honey {1-1 fresh extracted ginger juice & (2-1 honey w/ water)}

2-3 Dashes of Angostura Bitters

Directions: mix together in a large punchbowl and : grate cinnamon on top and float edible orchids
