Former Hills star Heidi Montag hadn’t been photographed in a two-piece in more than a year, but after appearing at the Wet Republic pool party in Las Vegas, Mrs. Spencer Pratt has proven she’s definitely still Baywatch ready – all thanks to a 14-hour-a-day workout regime.

Say what?

Yep. After tipping the scales at a whopping 130 pounds (stop the presses!), the 5’2” reality-TV star surprisingly bypassed liposuction and decided to lose weight the old fashioned way: “I’ve been running a lot, and I’ve been doing weights,” she told Us Weekly.

Two months and 27 pound later, the buxom blond is spilling her secret – insanity. As with most of her well-publicized life, Montag went extreme on her quest to lose weight. She claims that for two months, she was in the gym from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. A 14-hour exercise routine? She could be a trainer at the Biggest Loser camp for that endurance. Ordinarily, we wouldn’t believe it, but for a woman who underwent 10 plastic surgeries in a single day, anything is possible.

I’m surprised the cover of Us Weekly never read, “Hills Star Rushed to the Hospital After Working out to the Point of Collapse!” because that is exactly what Heidi Montag did. As has often been the case in her rather tragic life, losing weight has turned into an obsession.

Perhaps she’s making up for lost time — after her complete body overhaul, she took a year off from working out to give herself time to heal. “My breasts, because they’re so big, really needed some time,” she explained. “So I’m just starting to work out again after my surgery. Sometimes I get shooting pains, but I hear that’s normal.”
