Harrison Ford’s Mansion Is Comfortable, Classy – and for Sale!
Thinking of moving to LA? You could move right into Harrison Ford’s Brentwood mansion—because it’s for sale!
We don’t know where Harrison Ford and his family (wife Calista Flockhart and son Liam) are moving to, but it’d better be somewhere pretty spectacular to give up a home like this! That’s right: According to TooFab, Indiana Jones—er, Harrison—has put his house on the market. Want it? Shell out $8.295 million and it’s yours!
The house, which is located in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles, is described in its listing as a “New England Traditional Estate”—which translate for us normal people as an elegant, classic home that wouldn’t be out of place on the seaside in a place like southern Maine. The gated mansion is set off the street and up a long drive, ensuring its occupants’ privacy. It features “rolling lawns,” “gorgeous gardens,” and breathtaking views of both the city and the ocean; furthermore, in addition to the main house, there are also three (count ‘em!) detached guest suites.
The main house, by the by, boasts hardwood floors, paneled walls, crown moldings, four fireplaces, and loads of traditional detailing; there are seven bedrooms including four bedroom suites, eight bathrooms, a library, a massive living room, a formal dining room (including a secret, hidden bar!), a pool (of course), and a workshop—just, y’know, in case you feel like taking up carpentry or whatever. The living area covers 7,164 square feet, while the entire estate sprawls across a whopping 34,412 square feet. And did we mention that it’s situated above the Getty Museum? How chic!
Want to take a peek? Here you go! This is the exterior that greets you once you’re up the drive and through the gate:
There’s a spacious family room:
A beautiful master bedroom…:
…Which features a balcony all its own:
And boy, don’t we wish we could take a dip in this pool!:
Um, Harrison? Are you sure you really want to give up a place like this? It’s gorgeous! We realize that wherever you and your family are going is probably equally gorgeous… but still!
In the event that you’re thinking of moving to an $8 million mansion in Brentwood, real estate agent David Offer has the listing. For us, it remains wishful thinking—but we can always dream!
