Les Miserables is already receiving all sorts of accolades this awards season—as are its stars, as much for their superb sense of style as for their talent on the silver screen! This past Tuesday, Amanda Seyfried, who plays Cosette in the film, accepted the Best Ensemble award with her costars at the National Board of Review Awards Gala. She wore a gorgeous Bottega Veneta dress for the occasion, the finishing touch of which was a romantic, soft, wavy hairstyle. Love the look? You’re in luck: Sebastian Professional Lead Stylist Thomas Dunkin, who created the style, has some easy how-to tips to achieving the same timeless look. Read on for all the deets!

1. First, blow dry hair; then apply a generous amount of Sebastian Professional Shaper Zero Gravity ($16.66, amazon.com) to the lengths and brush through. Hair should feel textured.

2. Spritz hair with Sebastian Professional Trilliant ($7, amazon.com) for thermal protection.

3. Take eight sections of hair at random, place a large hot roller at the root of each, and wrap each section around the roller. Pro tip: It’s super important to start the rollers at the root of each section, rather than the ends. Starting at the root adds wave and volume to the hair; starting at the ends just creates regular ol’ curls.

4. Once the rollers are cooled, remove them and run fingers through the hair for a polished yet casual effect. Finish off with another spritz of Sebastian Professional Shaper Gravity ($16.66, amazon.com), and ta-da! Gorgeous, soft, and super sexy waves.
