Because it’s Monday, and Monday is the perfect time for gratuitous pictures of cute animals, we here at BettyConfidential would like to treat you to the following series of images: Lemurs playing with pumpkins. Jack-o-lanterns, specifically. Are you melting yet? Because we sure are!

These lemurs live at the Hagenbeck Zoo in Hamburg, Germany, and as far as we can tell, they have the BEST LIVES EVER.

The zoo began in 1863 with a collection of animals that belonged to Carl Hagenbeck Sr. Carl wasn’t a zoo keeper by trade; he was a fish monger, but he eventually became known as an impressive amateur animal collector. Carl’s son, Carl Hagenbeck Jr., turned his father’s collection into a full-on zoo in 1907; the Hagenbeck Zoo is notable for being the first zoo to use open enclosures surrounded by moats instead of barred cages.
