First Look: Target Fall 2012 Preview
Get ready for a super glam fall wardrobe from Target.
Yeah, I know, you’re just getting used to the idea of spring and we’re tossing fall clothing at you. The joys of publishing, while you’re thinking of what you’re gonna wear tomorrow, we’re thinking of what you’re gonna love in September. Yesterday, we (April Daniels Hussar—Executive Editor and me) toddled off into the rain to see Target’s fall fashion preview for men, women and kids held at the Hudson Hotel’s Bar. We saw fashion, accessories and beauty products from all of Target’s brands: C9 by Champion, Converse One Star, Liz Lange, Merona, Mossimo Supply Co., Mossimo Black, Cherokee and Circo, along with product from Target’s beauty brands, including JK Jemma Kidd, NP Set, Pixi, and Umberto Beverly Hills.
Let’s be honest, we all love Target. You can walk into a Target store and walk out with chicken breasts, toilet paper, JK Jemma Kidd lip gloss, sexy lingerie from Merona and a cute dress from Converse One star. I was psyched to go to the preview for two reasons: me love Target and this was the first time (EVER) they were letting us shoot photos of the preview so we could show you what’s coming up immediately.
Target’s fall is so on-trend it hurts. It hurts because the prices are uber affordable and the stuff is damn hawt. April spotted a great gray lace skirt for her little one that’s only $12.99. We saw chic printed shirtdresses for $29.99 (they could be layered with a sweater for colder months). Animal prints abounded. So were bright colors, chunky knits, vintage touches, menswear inspired fashion, fab tribal inspired clothing and accessories and an adorable chanel-influenced short blazer.
There was a faux leopard fur jacket for $79.99 (take that Rachel Zoe), a Eton-inspired blazer under 50 and more. One one model was a contrast trimmed trench that would be equally at home worn by Kate Middleton or enjoying your closet.
And accessories! There were snake print embossed clutches, a big, blue suede fringe bag, silver lace-ups, cowboy boots, suede ballet slippers and more. Check out the photos.
Thank god the stuff starts hitting the stores starting in July.
