Fashion’s Night Out (FNO) is quickly approaching and it’s sure to be jam-packed with parties, celebrity appearances, and goodie bags stuffed with the best beauty products. Though we can’t wait to step outside and join in the festivities, we’re still trying to figure out how to rush to about a dozen different venues at once.
Luckily for us, a few of the biggest names in fashion have decided to hit the streets of New York City as part of a new “trucking” craze. Beginning with FNO and extending through Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, everything you need –food, hairspray, professional tips, and even Band-Aids for fashion mishaps –will be found at a truck near you.
So, while we don’t have the power to merge the best fashion events into one extreme bash, we can clue you in on a few of the best truck routes of the season!
L’Oréal Paris’ Elnett Car
We love New York, and so does L’Oréal! Starting on FNO, the brand will hit the streets in an Elnett Satin Hairspray-themed car packed with beauty products to keep you looking fresh and fabulous. Besides enjoying free samples and style touch-ups you can meet celebrity hairstylist and L’Oréal hair expert Johnny Lavoy.
Dates: September 8th – 15th
Time: 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. (FNO), all day during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week
Location: Throughout NYC; Follow the Elnett Car on Twitter (@LOrealParisUSA) to see where it will be stopping daily
Cynthia Rowley’s Glambulance
If you can’t seem to stop stumbling around in those 6-inch heels and your hair has gone from silky straight to full-on frizz, Cynthia Rowley and Band-Aid can help –pro hairstylist, makeup artist, and totally trendy first-aid kits in tow. We might even take a fall on purpose just so we can slap a gold chain, sequin, or lace designer bandage onto the bruise.
Dates: September 8th & 9th
Times: 4 p.m. – 12 a.m. (FNO), 1 p.m. – 9 p.m. (Friday the 9th)
Locations: 5th Avenue at 52nd Street (FNO), Columbus Circle (Friday the 9th)
Barbie’s Scavenger Hunt
Barbie stands at only 11.5 inches tall, but we promise this scavenger hunt is going to be big. This little lady has teamed up with Alice + Olivia, Alexis Bittar, Tracy Reese, and Rogan to create the perfect FNO game. To compete, players must locate Barbie-sized outfits in each participating store and scan the corresponding 2D bar code for a chance to win life-sized versions.
Don’t think you’ll be relying on crowded trains for transportation: free double-decker Barbie buses will be waiting to take you from store to store in style.
Date: September 8th (FNO)
Time: 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Location: Catch the bus at the corner of 59th Street and 8th Avenue
