It’s a been a craaaaazy couple of weeks here on the East coast, so I’m excited to have an excuse to turn my attention to something totally girly and fun: fall and winter fashion! A little while ago the Chaps team asked me to partner up with them to showcase some of the fab sweaters from their line at Kohl’s– and let me tell you the sweaters arrived JUST IN TIME to keep me cozy when Hurricane Sandy knocked our power out for a week!
And they are soooo nice — not only do they look great on, but they are beautifully made, and so reasobably priced. I say this as someone who has become increasingly shy of buying inexpensive sweaters — I have had SO many inexpensive and cute sweaters just roll over and die on me after only wearing them a couple of times. You know what I mean? I’d rather buy ONE new sweater and make it high quality … but these sweaters are both affordable and high quality. YES.
To showcase some of the ways you can style these scrumptious sweaters, my original idea was to do a fun “fall” photo shoot amongst all the gorgeous leaves… um, yeah… the weather didn’t agree!
Instead, I had fun modeling this ultra cozy, ravishingly red cable-knit, shawl collar sweater just this morning in the freshly fallen SNOW!
I paired the sweater with my favorite skinny jeans and high boots … Ladies and gentleman, presenting, my winter uniform! A fun chunky ring for a little bling bling and my favorite necklace make me feel nicely put together. (And seriously — sometimes feeling put together is what you really need when things have been a little crazy, right?)
And then I hightailed it to my warm bedroom to dress up another beautiful sweater — the Holiday cable knit sweater with ribbed trim (in “holiday cream”) a few different ways (giving thanks the whole time that my heat is on!):
Boho cozy casual — picture this with jeans and boots. (Side note: I forgot I had that scarf! I love it!) (Side, side note: The glittery-blue nailpolish is integral to this look )
Still casual, still cozy but a little amped-up on the chicness factor, with a bright scarf, wedges, a stack of bangles and dark berry cords.
Holiday shindig chic! With velvet navy toothpick pants, a pretty gold and bold necklace and my most favoritest shoes of all time.
I’m in love with these sweaters; as you can see, you can style them so many different ways. They’d make GREAT presents too this holiday season! Check them out for yourselves at Kohls.com.
Stay warm, everyone!
