During New York Fashion Week, Olivia Palermo caused quite a stir when her long, luscious locks were cut off! The City star snuck over to her fave hairstylist, Andre Davis of the Roy Teeluck Salon between shows. A few hours later, she showed off her new look - a mid-length bob.

Some call it a hit, others a miss. Betty caught up with her stylist, Andre Davis, to get the scoop behind her cut. “Olivia wanted to make a statement,” he tells BettyConfidential. He kindly explained the continuing hotness of the bob and more juicy news.

BettyConfidential: Why did Olivia want to cut her hair?

Andre Davis: Basically, this is something we talked about doing for almost eight months. It was September and New York Fashion Week, so it was a great time for a change. She’s had long hair for a good amount of time, and just wanted a change. I told her a mid-length bob would look great on her. We were on the same page the entire time. I gave her a clean cut with a little angling, a lot of movement, and a classic middle part. It really frames her face. She told me a lot of people were commenting on it at Fashion Week. After that, tons of people were asking me to cut their hair (in that same style)!
