Exclusive! Emma Roberts on Her Aunt Julia, Her Favorite Beauty Secrets and… Pole Dancing?
SNEAK PEEK! The Scream 4 star opens up to Women’s Health about life as a Roberts girl and the little tricks that keep her beautiful and fit.
What’s it like to be related to Julia Roberts? 20-year-old Emma Roberts reveals that and more in the April 2011 issue of Women’s Health — and we got an exclusive sneak peek of her double cover and the beauty secrets she reveals in the mag!
The young actress has been making a name for herself, starring in films like It’s Kind of a Funny Story, Hotel for Dogs, and the upcoming thriller, Scream 4. Emma can still remember the days when she first caught the acting bug while watching Julia do her thing. “I grew up around sets…I would visit my aunt all the time and I just loved it,” she tells the mag. “I was fascinated by the whole thing. You’d have to drag me off the set every time I was there!”
Emma realizes she has a striking resemblance to her mega famous relative (“We Robertses have too many teeth for our mouths… they give me character!” she says), but she has her own ways of staying beautiful and healthy, which includes taking pole dancing classes with friends to build her upper body strength, have fun and “build confidence.”
Emma’s also the cover girl for Women’s Health’s Beauty Flip Cover, a special 24-page Beauty Bonus found inside the April issue. It’s here that she reveals the little tips and tricks she uses to look fresh and pretty all day long. Here’s a glimpse at what she dishes to the mag!
Emma’s Beauty Tricks:
“Even if I get home late and I’m tired, I always wash my face [before going to bed]. There’s nothing worse than waking up with makeup on!”
“I put a little hair spray on a toothbrush and brush my eyebrows so they stay upright.”
“I also wear a moisturizer with SPF and do a deep-cleansing mask once or twice a week.”
“If I had to use only one makeup product, it would be mascara. I pile it on. I also love fake lashes. I buy individual lashes at the drugstore and use tweezers to apply them myself. It’s hard to do but so worth it.”
“I almost always have color on my fingers and toes. At the moment, I’m loving navy blue and gray—colors that are fun but also classy.”
You can check out the rest of Emma’s beauty secrets and more when the April issue of Women’s Health hits newsstands March 15th.
