Yesterday, during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, just a few blocks from the main tents at Jazz at Lincoln Center, OneStopPlus.com held the first ever curvy women’s fashion show, entitled “Belle Epoque.” Designed by Zahir Babvani, the 36 looks ranged from skinny jeans to short outfits to gowns. Top plus-sized models like Toccara from America’s Next Top Model walked the runway.

The palette ranged from palest pink to deep blue and dusky plum. We saw figure hugging dresses, swing jackets and sequined shorts ensembles. At the end of the show, people stood up, screamed and applauded. Check out the video of the show below. The age of the curvy girl has arrived!

Yay – about time!
The models looked amazing. And the clothes were beautiful. This is how real women look. Bring on more. Go away skeleton models!
I’m so glad to see Toccara on the runway. She’s one of my all-time favorites from ANTM!
Too bad these gorgeous women were relegated to an off-site special “curvy girl” show, and not integrated into the rest of the 7 jam-packed days worth of shows! GIVE ME A BREAK!
This is awesome, thank Betty for letting usknow.
it’s about time..now Betty must follow suit and stock BettyConfidential shirts and other fashion items in XL-3X !!
So nice to see normal women on the runway in a major show
I hope this will be a regular part of fashion in general. Curvy, healthy looking women are a huge untapped market in fashion.
It’s about time they have some everyday women modeling. This is the way it should be. Women should be allowed feel comfortable in their own skin instead of having skinny shoved down our throats.
This is great! Too many women and girls are intimidated by fashion because they have curves instead of looking like models.
It’s about time they start using ‘real” woman!
Woo hoo! It’s about time curvy women were recognized by the fashion world!
It’s about time!! Real women!!
