Last Comic Standing judge, frequent Howard Stern guest and well-known comedian Greg Giraldo tragically passed away yesterday at the age of 44. He suffered a drug overdose over the weekend.

“Greg passed away today at the hospital in New Brunswick as a result of an accidental overdose,” a source told TMZ. “His family was by his side.”

Giraldo was staying in East Brunswick, New Jersey for a series of performances. He suffered an apparent overdose during a party in his hotel room on Saturday night and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Poor guy. It's too bad more people don't realize how damaging drugs can be.
