Colin Farrell in ‘Total Recall’ + 10 More: The Actor’s Hottest Roles
In honor of Colin Farrell’s new film, ‘Total Recall,’ we’ve assembled 10 of his hottest roles for you to drool over. Go on, you deserve it!
Guess who’s back, Bettys? That’s right: Everyone’s favorite foul-mouthed Irishman, Colin Farrell. This time, he stars in Total Recall, a remake of the 1990 sci-fi flick of the same name (you know: The one starring Arnold in his non-Terminator form). I know, I know—I’m usually skeptical of remakes, too; but this one looks like it might actually be worth it. The film is said to go back more to the roots of the Philip K. Dick short story it’s based off of, “We Can Remember It For You Wholesale,” which sounds promising, indeed. Check out the trailer here:
Looks neat, right? It hits cinemas this Friday, so be sure to check it out. In honor of the occasion, we’ve assembled a video gallery of ten of Colin’s hottest roles. From Minority Report to In Bruges, get ready to rumble!
1. Private Roland Bozz, Tigerland (2000)
Though Colin had appeared on television and on the big screen a few times in the mid/late ‘90s, it was the 2000 Joel Schumacher-directed war drama Tigerland that gave him his big break. Set in 1971—when it was clear that the US wasn’t winning the Vietnam War, as had previously been thought—Tigerland follows Private Roland Bozz and a group of draftees as they train to be sent to the front. Private Bozz, as you can see, doesn’t always bow to authority… but it did get Colin noticed.
2. Danny Witwer, Minority Report (2002)
Total Recall isn’t Colin’s first foray into the territory of sci-fi author extraordinaire Philip K. Dick: He got the chance to chase down potential criminal Tom Cruise as Danny Witwer in Minority Report. Warning: If you haven’t seen the movie (and if you haven’t, why on earth not? Go watch it ASAP!), there are some spoilers in the above clip… but it’s a doozy. Totally worth it.
Up next: Criminals and bad boys!
