Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards may have had a rocky relationship, but now that Charlie’s sorting himself out, they seem to be on pretty good terms. In fact, recently they’ve been putting aside their differences and reuniting for the most important reason possible: Their kids. This past weekend, the two actors cheered on their daughters Lola and Sam while the girls played in a soccer game. Which other celebrity couples have made an effort to stay on friendly terms for the sake of their kids? Let’s take a look!

1. Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe

Who else was kind of depressed when Reese and Ryan split up in 2007? They were just such an adorable couple. Ah well; at least they’re still on excellent terms. In fact, they took a trip to Disneyland together with their two kids, Deacon and Ava, at the end of October for Deacon’s eighth birthday. Sounds like a pretty good birthday to us!

2. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver

Arnold and Maria seem to be making quite an effort to keep their family together after the big love child debacle. They had lunch together with their sons, Patrick and Christopher, for Arnold’s 64th birthday at the end of July; sometimes they go to church together; they had a grand old time as a family for Christopher’s 14th birthday; and all in all, this really could have been a much messier split than it was. It’s nice to see adults actually acting like adults for a change.

3. Bruce Willis and Demi Moore

We’re not sure how amiable the split between Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher is going to be, but Demi and Bruce have certainly worked things out since their 2000 separation. Often called one of Hollywood’s happiest divorced couples, they’ve been awesome about supporting their daughter Rumer Willis as she pursues her own acting career. Here they are back in March, stepping out to celebrate Rumer’s role in the off-Broadway play Love, Loss & What I Wore.

4. Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz

These two may have surprised the world when they divorced earlier this year, but since then, Ashlee and Pete have been making an effort to stay in their son Bronx’s life. The former spouses are regularly spotted having play dates and going shopping together as a family. Bronx, by the way, turned three yesterday. Happy birthday, Bronx!
