Celeb Roommates: Jude Law, Ewan McGregor + More Stars Who Used to Live Together
Even stars need roomies! From Jude Law and Ewan McGregor to Holly Hunter and Frances McDormand, here are 12 pairs of stars who cohabited once upon a time.
It’s that time again: Back-to-school time! Although it’s been many a year since most of us here at BettyConfidential have gone back to school ourselves, we’re sure that at least a few of you out there in Bettyland are either prepping to hit the books again yourselves or are getting your kids ready to do the same. For those of you in the college-age arena, this probably involves the R-word. That’s right: Roommates. Some roommate situations are awesome; others, not so much; but regardless, living with someone else is always an experience worth having. And hey, you never know who you might meet—these 24 stars had no idea how big they would eventually make it when they paired off and shacked up together back in the day!
1. Jude Law and Ewan McGregor
Before either of them hit it big, Jude Law and Ewan McGregor roomed together in London. They also co-founded the production company Natural Nylon with Jonny Lee Miller, Sadie Frost (then Jude’s girlfriend), and a number of others around that time. Natural Nylon produced such films as eXistenZ and Sky Captain and the World of tomorrow, though it folded after Ewan and Jude left in 2002 and 2003 respectively. Ah well—onto bigger things!
2. Lea Michele and Dianna Agron
Lea Michele and Dianna Agron both moved to LA when they were cast in Glee, so perhaps unsurprisingly, they chose to room together. Apparently both of them are vegan—must’ve cut down on any potential vegan vs. carnivore arguments in the kitchen.
3. Penn Badgley and Milo Ventimiglia
Penn and Milo roomed together back in the early 2000s, when Penn was 18 and Milo was 28. Said Penn, “I used to borrow his ID to get into bars. I’ve still got it somewhere.” You rebel, you.
