We’re used to seeing the stars of reality shows like the Real Housewives and Jersey Shore bending over backwards to get us to pay attention to them, but Oscar nominees are usually a different story. Tell that to Carey Mulligan, star of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps and Never Let Me Go, who buys tickets to her own films in bulk.

“I go and buy, like 30,” Mulligan said on Live With Regis and Kelly. “It's mainly just to try and bump up the box office.”

But that’s not all – Mulligan said she even stumps for her films outside theaters – look for her the next time you go to the movies!

“I went last night and stood outside with my friend and we watched people go in and then we would go up to people and say, 'What are you going to see?’ And they’d be like ‘Oh, Never Let Me Go.’ And I’d be like ‘Oh it’s awesome’.”

Carey darling, we’re sure the studio appreciates your efforts, but you can probably leave the promotion to the studios now – you’re a star! (Daily Mail)
