It’s true! According to the Huffington Post, a Florida man was nabbed by the FBI today for hacking into the emails of Scarlett Johansson and a variety of other Hollywood starlets. The man's name hasn’t been released yet, but the details are sure to follow shortly.

Los Angeles FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said only that that one person was arrested out of state and declined to divulge more; however, a source who requested to remain anonymous has revealed that a) it was a man, b) he was from Florida, c) he had been indicted on charges that he had hacked into the emails of certain celebrities, and that d) one of those celebrities was ScarJo.

ScarJo’s rep hasn’t made a statement yet, but I bet she’s feeling pretty vindicated right now.

As a side note, the arrest involved a year-long FBI investigation of celebrity-targeted computer hacking that was called Operation Hackerazzi. Who else gets a kick out of that?

UPDATED: The hacker's name is Christopher Chaney, and he's 35. Using his x-treme hacking skills, he wormed his way into various celebs' email accounts, set them to forward to his own email account, and from there, he distributed the pictures he got through the forwarded emails to whomever he saw fit. The lengthy 26-count indictment can be read here; if found guilty of all the charges, Chaney could face up to 121 years in prison. Hope it was worth it, pal.
