Life is good. Scratch that – life is great. Yesterday was my first day of the Summer Journalist Immersion Tour in Las Vegas, hosted by VisitLasVegas.com and R&R Partners, and wow, was it fun!

Shortly after landing in Vegas on Monday night, I was whisked away to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, where I was hooked up with a sweet suite in the HRH Towers. This hotel is nothing short of spectacular – it's like a rock & roll museum, casino, and shopping mecca, all rolled into one. Music memorabilia like Gwen Stefani's tour outfits, Madonna's cone bra, and a guitar signed by the Kings of Leon are everywhere you look. With loud rock music bumping from the hotel speakers and no windows to let the daylight in, one could easily mistake the Hard Rock for an awesome club.

My room is hooked up with the works – two TVs, a huge bathroom, two queen-sized beds, and enough iPod hook-ups to make any music lover happy. Walking in, I felt like there had been some mistake. I'm not a celebrity, I don't deserve such a nice room! But, in Vegas, you go big or go home.

Yeah, I guess I could get used to this.
