Beauty Road Test: Luscious Lip Gloss + Beautiful Blush from CARGO!
Adorable little tins full of long-wearing gloss and blush? Yes please! We’re totally in love with CARGO Cosmetics!
You may have noticed the appearance of one of CARGO’s lip gloss quads in our “The Perfect White Shirt, Three Ways” post last week—but you know what? We’re loving these fabulous little gloss tins so much that we decided we had to share a full beauty road test of them with you—plus a road test of CARGO’s gorgeous blush!
First up: CARGO’s lip gloss quads ($24, cargocosmetics.com). The gloss packed into these adorable little tins is what got CARGO’s name on the map—and with good reason! The glosses are shiny without being sticky, and the four shades can be worn alone or layered and blended together to create new colors. Best of all, since my application method of choice is using my fingers, rather than a brush, I was thrilled to find that they go on smoothly and easily with just the swipe of a finger.
My favorite quad is the Casablanca one shown here; I’ve mostly been using the pale pink gloss during the day and the darker burgundy shade at night, but I’m sure I’ll come up with any number of combinations as I keep playing with the possibilities.
But gloss isn’t all that CARGO makes! We also got the chance to test out their blush, and we love it just as much as we love the gloss! Housed in the same tins as the lip gloss quads, CARGO’s blush ($29, cargocosmetics.com) comes in a gorgeous array of ten shades ranging from delicate neutrals to bright pinks and other vibrant colors. The long-wearing powder formula glides on smoothly for a sheer, natural look, and the wide surface area of the tin helps you pick up pigment evenly on your brush for better application.
I’ve been using a peachy pink shade with gold undertones called The Big Easy, and I’m absolutely loving it. It gives my cheeks a dewy, flushed look in two seconds flat—just brush it on and go!
Gloss or blush, each tin is about the size of a compass and fits easily into your purse for on-the-go touchups. Snap them up at cargocosmetics.com!
