Beat the Heat and Help the Troops with a Cool Bottle of Liberty Creek Wine
Wine lovers, unite! This season, Liberty Creek Vineyards will donate money for care packages for United States soldiers.
If you needed another reason to crack open a cool bottle of Chardonnay, here’s a very, very good one. Liberty Creek Vineyards, a California-based company that offers eight luxurious wines, will donate $15,000 to Operation Gratitude.
This organization sends much-needed care packages to those who fight to keep us safe. Over 100,000 parcels annually are sent to American troops, some of whom are recovering from battle wounds. Each soldier receives letters of appreciation, toiletries, snacks, and items for entertainment.
And if you like to start your evening with a sip of wine, you can help. By purchasing a specially tagged bottle of Liberty Creek wine, even more money will go to Operation Gratitude. Up to an additional $10,000 will be donated to the charity for music downloads for the troops.
“We are delighted to receive this support from Liberty Creek Wines, and we believe the music downloads will make our care packages even more meaningful,” Carolyn Blashek, Founder of Operation Gratitude, stated in a press release. “Music has the ability not only to heal the heart and soul, but also to make us feel at home – especially for soldiers who are miles away.”
The program begins on May 1, 2012 and runs through July 2012. So whether you need to replenish your wine stock in time for Memorial Day or just want to treat yourself, you can drink up while doing good. Now that’s music to our ears.
