We’ve all daydreamed of striking a pose for a glamorous fashion shoot. But sadly, most of us know that making our debut in the modeling arena will probably never happen.

And she used writers, editors, receptionists, and sales associates-–ladies just like you and me– to take her fall 2012 designs to the next level. We chatted with Carrie about her new line, using real girl models, and helming an ethical business. One question remains: Can this gal get any better?
BettyConfidential: What are some of your inspirations for your fall 2012 collection?
Carrie Parry: The FW12 line was inspired by the lines and geometric shapes of Bauhaus Design as well as the Festival of Holi (The Festival of Color) in India. I love the way that color is everywhere in India; it has so much meaning and vibrancy. To be surrounded by so much color would definitely bring a smile to my face every day.
BC: What was your favorite part about creating this collection?
CP: I loved developing all the prints for the collection and working with the artisans to make the blocks. It was a real learning experience and eye-opening to see the full process.
BC: What inspired you to forgo models in favor of everyday women for your fall 2012 look book?
CP: Carrie Parry (the company) is all about individuality, so it just seemed like a fitting way to shoot the line.
