The 43rd annual NAACP Image awards were held this past Friday in LA. The Help swept the show, with eight nominations and Octavia Spencer and Viola Davis both winning awards. There was a tribute to Whitney Houston and Don Cornelius. To read the entire list of winners, you can visit the NAACP site.
The red carpet glowed in spring’s hottest trend: color! We saw bright pinks, oranges and reds -- l check out the colorful the gowns that Tiffany Hines, Michelle Williams, Jill Scott and Keke Palmer wore.

And now, the juicy part ... Here’s our roundup of the best and worst dressed of the night.
Best Dressed
Jennifer Hudson

Vocal powerhouse Jennifer Hudson looked like an angel in her pale blue custom designed Maria Lucia Hohan gown, Amrapali necklace and Sutra earrings and bracelet.
Alfre Woodard

Very pretty in hot pink, Alfre Woodard, a nominee for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series (Memphis Beat), wore a one shoulder gown by Rani Zakhem. She paired the gown with Rene Caovilla pewter Swarovski crystal flats.
Amber Riley

Good to see Amber Riley stepped away from over-sized bows and wore a sleek, sparkling navy gown. Love!
Idina Menzel

Broadway showstopper Idina Menzel looked uber sexy in a strapless black lace belted gown. Love how she wore a collection of Norman Silverman cuffs on her arm and her swingy Norman Silverman earrings.
Sandra Oh

Grey Anatomy’s Sandra Oh looks so classically chic in her strapless black velvet cocktail dress.
Jill Scott

Winner of the Outstanding Female Artist award, Jill Scott looks lovely and on-trend in her bright hibiscus-colored gown.
China Anne McClain

Disney’s China Anne McClain (A.N.T. Farm) looks adorb and age-appropriate her champagne pink ensemble.

Regina King

Southland’s Regina King is stunning in her red mermaid gown by Ramona Keveza. She got to show it off as a presenter and as the winner of the Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series award.
Keke Palmer

Keke Palmer proves that hot colors ruled the night in her Naven gown. She picked up the award for the Outstanding Performance in a Youth/Children's Program (Series or Special) for her show, True Jackson, VP.
Taraji P. Hensen

As far as we’re concerned, the Person of Interest star knocks it out of the park in her liquid silver Randi Rahm gown.
Octavia Spencer

She won another award for The Help and once again wore Tadashi Shoji. Aqua is Octavia’s color!
Viola Davis, Tracee Ellis Ross and the worst dressed of the night are up next!
