Nicole Kidman was out with her husband, country singer Keith Urban at the Academy of Country Music Awards the other night. While black and white prints are big for spring, and yup, the military look is also a hot trend, poor Nicole must have forgotten to take a look in the mirror before she left.

Instead of looking oh-so-chic, she looks like a cross between a waitress and a majorette. The white bib with the black buttons makes you want to throw her a baton (non-flaming of course) and see if she can do some tricks. It doesn’t help that the dress is too short and the sleeves are too long (reason for not throwing her a flaming baton); all it does is make her look like she’s wearing the wrong size.

And those shoes! Again, yes, we know that shooties are big, but these are brown and clunky and just so not right for the dress. Now if she paired them with something else…then again, it would have meant that she looked in the mirror before she left the house.

I don’t know if we should blame the designer for this interesting style. L’Wren Scott is known for her fashion forward ensembles that are loved by Sarah Jessica Parker among other stars, or we should blame Nicole’s stylist for letting her walk out of the house like that, or should we blame Nicole? A black dress and brown shoes? Maybe Nicole’s big secret is that she’s color-blind.
