Conservative talk show host and controversy-stirrer Rush Limbaugh has lashed out against President Obama’s trip to Afghanistan last week, calling his salute to a dead soldier’s casket nothing more than a photo-op.
“It was a photo-op precisely because he's having big-time trouble on this whole Afghanistan dithering situation," Limbaugh explained to Fox News Sunday.
“He can create the impression that he has all this great concern," he added.
However, Independent senator Joseph Lieberman, who has criticized Obama on other issues, was quick to defend the president on CBS’ Face the Nation.
"I think he was there as commander in chief for all Americans. And I don't fault him or question his motives at all … I was proud that my President was there,” he said. (NY Daily News)
