Before Hugh Jackman came along and helped to boost Oscar ratings the AMPAS crew was forced to sit back and watch as viewers grew more and more uninterested in the legendary awards show.

And because the Aussie star was such a hit at this year’s event, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences peeps are hoping that he will say ‘yes’ to a hosting gig once again.

Unfortunately Jackman’s spokesperson thinks that he won’t want to give it another go, as - according to his rep - “He's a movie star, not a song and dance man.”

Um, how is Hugh not a song and dance man? Did his rep completely forget about a little Broadway hit the star headlined called The Boy from Oz? Keep your fingers crossed that he comes through! (Deadline.com)
