After weeks of wondering whether Jon Gosselin would man up and return the money he stole from his joint bank account with estranged wife Kate, attorneys for both parties are confirming that the father of eight has indeed put back the whopping $230,000.
Jon, who claims Kate hasn’t accounted for how she spent $33,000 in cash withdrawals, appeared in Montgomery County court on Monday morning.
One of Kate’s attorneys, Cheryl Young, told Judge Arthur Tilson that the sum in question accounted for a mere five percent of what was in dispute. What’s more, she alleged that a divorce arbitrator did not order her to break down the cash withdrawals.
A two-day conference with the arbitrator has been arranged for next month, and in the meantime Jon will need to find himself a new attorney. (People.com)
