Betty on the News: Jessica Simpson Twitters About Cruel Missing Dog Calls

The singer, who is still mourning the loss of her pet, is taunted with fake info.

Last month Jessica Simpson was in tears after discovering that her favorite little buddy - her Maltipoo, Daisy - had been snatched up by coyotes. The 5-year-old dog was a gift from ex-hubby Nick Lachey, making the situation all the more heartbreaking.

As if losing your pet isn’t hard enough, Jessica now has to put up with a cruel and unusual form of torture in which random individuals contact her loved ones with news that Daisy is alive and well. Can you imagine such a thing?

"People who have been contacting my family and friends saying that Daisy has been found," Simpson tweeted on Sunday. "Untrue. People are so cruel... please respect her memory."
