David Letterman and Regina Lasko

While it seems that David Letterman’s career will survive the news of his workplace sex scandal, his marriage may not. Letterman’s wife, Regina Lasko, whom he married last March after a years-long courtship, was apparently so outraged over the affairs that she demanded he make a second apology on Monday's show, something that Letterman had not wanted to do.

“He wanted the whole thing to blow over," said a source at the Late Show. "But Regina told him he better make an apology to let everyone know how sorry he was for how much he hurt and humiliated her.”

However, while Letterman fulfilled her request by stating how “horribly hurt by my behavior” Lasko had been, she was apparently not amused by the jokes Letterman interspersed his apology with.

“Regina felt like Dave’s humorous take on the apology lessened the sincerity of it, and she’s not happy at all,” said the source. (Fox News)
