Top 10 Reasons You MUST Watch Mad Men
Don’t worry; we’ll catch you up on what you’ve missed
-Carrie Seim

The whole world’s gone mad for Mad Men. The Emmy-winning series, set in a 1960s ad agency simmering with sexual revolution, sexual politics and plain old sex – returns for its third season Sunday on AMC. And um, you’re not allowed to miss it.
Here’s a quick recap in case you missed the first two (BRILLIANT!) seasons.
When we last left ad man Don Draper (Jon Hamm), he’d been kicked out of the house by his wife, Betty (January Jones), retribution for one too many affairs. Desperate housewife Betty, trapped in suburban ennui worthy of Emma Bovary, eked out revenge with an affair of her own – and a surprise third pregnancy.
Prim(ish) Peggy (Elizabeth Moss), a super smart secretary-turned-copywriter (with a nine-month secret) has been fighting for a spot at the boys’ table for years. She finally secured an office and her very own secretary.
Roger Sterling (John Slattery), a partner at Don’s Madison Avenue firm, continued to sexually harass buxom office manager Joan (Christina Hendricks), along with every other skirt within pinching distance. He’s just left his decades-long marriage for a 20-something sweet thing. Joan, meanwhile, got engaged – then raped on the office floor – by her fiancé, who’s pressuring her to give up her day job.
