We all learned in kindergarten that we should wait for our turn to speak. Apparently, gay-rights activists from GetEQUAL were too impatient during a fundraiser yesterday to let President Obama finish his speech.
Obama was present to support Senator Barbara Boxer who is campaigning for a fourth term. He was in the middle of saying some very nice things about the liberal senator before he was rudely interrupted.
Gay-rights activists were shouting, "Repeal don't ask, don't tell," and "It's time for equality for all Americans!" These individuals were obviously frustrated about the lack of progress on repealing the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy, which prohibits gay and lesbian people from serving openly in the military.

Unable to ignore the hecklers, Obama responded, "Can I just say again Barbara and I are supportive of repealing 'don't ask, don't tell'... When you've got an ally like Barbara Boxer and you've got an ally like me who are standing for the same thing, then you don't know exactly why you've got to holler, because we already hear you, all right?"
The crowd cheered as Obama continued, "I mean, it would have made more sense to holler that at the people who oppose it."
That'll teach you to interrupt the President! He's the one trying to help you out, so give him a break, will ya? (AOL News, Huffington Post)
