Who wouldn't want an all-access pass to a world of style? Curations with Stefani Greenfield may be just the thing. Curations is the newest addition to the rapidly expanding offerings at HSN, the source for unique and exclusive products from the world of fashion, beauty, home and health.
Included the Curations collection, which draws on influences from Greenfield's travels to Morocco, India, Istanbul and the Greek Islands, are shoes and clothes, jewelry, handbags and many other accessories that have been created and curated by fashion authority Stefani Greenfield. You may already know Stefani as the co-founder of the internationally acclaimed SCOOP NYC stores. She has worked with fashion luminaries such as Donna Karan and Susie Tomkins/esprit during her 20 year career, and now she's bringing her expertise to the mass market -- lucky us!
On the eve of Curations' debut on HSN (also airing today at 8 a.m., 2 p.m., and 8 p.m.), I got the inside story from Stefani herself - the only question I didn't ask is how to get frequent "shoppers" miles for this destination that I know I'll surely be coming back
to ...
We have entered into a time where women (and the First Lady) are defining style by confidently mixing mass-market pieces with high-end/luxury labels. Is that the customer you hope to reach with Curations?
The beauty of the Curations line is that it's not about buying a trendy
item that is only relevant for a season - it's about finding those
amazing collectible pieces that you will go back to time and time again, and eventually pass down to your daughters and granddaughters. You can buy a piece of jewelry, a scarf or a bag from Curations, and it will instantly update the things you've had in your wardrobe forever, regardless of price.
Your skill as an editor is what makes Curations so appealing to those of us who don't have the time to edit our own wardrobes. What are some of the "core pieces" in this spring's Curations colelction?
Definitely the Design Guru for Curations Signature Washed Leather Tote - this fabulous bag is functional, fashionable and will be chic forever!
The Irresistible Tie Dye Scarf in multiples - you can wear them as
scarves, belts, headscarves - the possibilities are endless!
Lastly, a fabulous piece of feel-good jewelry like the Butterfly ring - it just makes you smile when you wear it.
What is the number-one thing you keep in mind when creating this collection?
That the Curations customer is every woman - we are confident that anyone can find something they love or something for someone they love in the Curations line. The pieces are cross-generational and are influenced by the trends but not defined by them.
How are you able to offer such great prices and maintain quality?
The Curations mantra is "luxury has no tiers" and at any price point items need to meaningful, beautiful, and enduring. Just because something is cheap doesn't mean it's a bargain! A lot of time and effort is put into the Curations product, and no detail is too small. At the end of the day, the most important thing is making a quality product that the customer will receive and love!
