According to sources close to the former couple a number of issues triggered the split. Both parties apparently felt that nothing was “really developing” and that the chemistry just wasn’t there. Plus, the New Moon star was more invested in the relationship than Miss Swift, or so claims a friend of the singer.

"He liked her more than she liked him," the insider let slip. "He went everywhere he could to see her, but she didn't travel much to see him."

What a shock! And as much as we adore TS, is she totally bonkers? That boy is dynamite. Geez, we would fly to the ends of the earth to win Taylor over! Wonder how long it’ll be before someone snatches him up… (Us Magazine)
