Stephen Moyer plays just one of many brooding vampires in entertainment today, but he doesn’t think all vampires are created equal.
Moyer called Robert Pattinson’s Twilight character Edward Cullen “the Slim Fast, Diet Coke of vampires” in an interview, and has been under fire from Twilight fans ever since.
“It was just a joke,” Moyer explained when asked about the backlash on BBC’s Friday Night with Jonathan Ross. “I upset every 14-year-old on the planet that day.”
He adds that he began receiving hate mail from young Twilight fans threatening to boycott the show.
