Last Thursday actor Randy Quaid and his wife Evi were arrested in Texas after allegedly ditching a Santa Barbara hotel with more than $10,000 in unpaid bills.

Apparently the Santa Barbara District Attorney’s office has joined forces with the kooky couple’s Texas lawyer, Dick DeGuerin, to get them return to California and surrender voluntarily to the three felony changes they are facing.

If they refuse to hand themselves over to the authorities, police will have no choice but to head to Texas to retrieve them.

"We are seeking their voluntary return to California,” Lee Carter, Santa Barbara D.A, told RadarOnline.com during an exclusive interview. “We are hopeful that a date will be set for the Quaids in the very near future.”

Although Carter believes that Randy and Evi will be hopping on the next plane to California, we definitely wouldn’t hold our breath! (RadarOnline.com)
