Penn Badgley: ‘It’s Over for Dan & Serena’

Spoiler alert! Gossip Girl fans might not want to hear this, but Penn Badgley confirmed exclusively to BettyConfidential.com that he and girlfriend Blake Lively are officially done for good on the hit show. Fans will be mourning the loss of the Dan and Serena relationship, but the good news is that Penn and Blake are still going strong in real life. While Blake was heating up the red carpet at the Emmys in L.A., Penn stayed in New York to go to one last fashion week event — Tommy Hilfiger’s Fifth Avenue store opening and closing night show at Fashion Week, where we ran into him sitting in the front row with Taylor Swift.

“Dan is dating a lot and he gets to change it up this season,” Penn, 22, told me. “He’s been pretty conservative up to this point – but now things will be different. He and Serena are done for good. Really done for good and I don’t expect anymore Dan and Serena hookups.”

While it means that he’ll be sharing fewer scenes with his gal pal, Penn reveals he’s not sad about it at all, saying, “I’m always ready to try new things and Blake and I see each other all the time, so I’m excited for the new storyline.”

In fact, Penn spent the week taking Blake, 22, to and from her Emmy fittings for the plunging red Versace gown she donned on the red carpet last night. In real life, he’s the less fashion-oriented of the two. “I’ve always worn jeans… I never deviate from a V-neck tee and jeans. It’s my basic everyday outfit. Blake is the fashionable one – she can wear anything!” Awww.

We had to ask if his slightly scary new Gossip Girl brother was going to go all single, white female on him this season. “I think people actually laugh at the fact that it’s always on the cusp of being creepy, but as the season moves towards the climax it gets less creepy and more positive.”
