Next Tuesday at the Women's Conference 2009 Lisa Niemi, who lost her husband Patrick Swayze to pancreatic cancer on September 14, will speak for the first time since the actor’s untimely passing.
Niemi is set to join Elizabeth Edwards and Susan St. James - both of whom suffered the loss of children - in Long Beach for a discussion on Grief, Healing and Resilience.
Lisa’s brother-in-law Don described the 53-year-old as being a “pillar of strength” during the past year, and said that Swayze was by his wife’s side up until the end.
The Women's Conference, hosted by Maria Shriver and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, will be streamed live at 8:00 a.m. PST on October 27 at WomensConference.org. (People.com)
