Pasta with seafood

You’ll flip for the unusual taste combination going on here in this pasta dish – your choice of fish is seasoned with raisins, cinnamon and pine for a one-of-a-kind dish that will pleasantly surprise your taste buds.

Makes 4 Servings

Ingredients:

1/2 pound any type of short pasta, such as ziti or paccheri

1 clove garlic, sliced

2 tablespoons olive oil

1/2 cup fresh parsley leaves

1/2 pound your favorite seafood such as cuttlefish, shrimp, squid, etc

1/4 cup golden raisins

1/4 cup pine nuts

1 14-ounce can crushed tomatoes

Pinch of cinnamon

Pinch of red pepper flakes

Salt

Preparation:

1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions.

2. Meanwhile, in a large sauté pan, cook the garlic in olive oil until light golden. Add the parsley, seafood, raisins, pine nuts, tomatoes, and cinnamon and sauté until the seafood is cooked. Season to taste with red pepper flakes and salt.

3. Toss with the cooked pasta and serve.
