Shut down! It has to sting a little bit when the President of the United States dismisses your opinion as if it's coming from some insignificant person who doesn't really matter.
At least that's what it sounded like when George Stephanopoulos of ABC News asked the President to comment on Sarah Palin's criticism of his nuclear disarmament treaty he signed yesterday with Russia.
I really have no response," Obama said. "Because last I checked, Sarah Palin's not much of an expert on nuclear issues... If the Secretary of Defense and the Chairman of the Joints Chiefs of Staff are comfortable with it, I'm probably going to take my advice from them and not from Sarah Palin."
Ouch! Obama: 1, Sarah Palin, 0!

The nuclear treaty – which will reduce the number of nuclear weapons owned by the U.S. and Russia – is in conjunction with Obama's new proposal to not use nuclear weapons against countries that don't have them (excluding North Korea and Iran).
Sarah Palin celled the plan "unbelievable."
She told Sean Hannity of Fox News: "No administration in America's history would, I think, ever have considered such a step that we just found out President Obama is supporting today. It's kinda like getting out there on a playground, a bunch of kids, getting ready to fight, and one of the kids saying, 'Go ahead, punch me in the face and I'm not going to retaliate. Go ahead and do what you want to with me.'"
Thanks for reducing the treaty to such simplistic terms, Sarah, that's very cute. Now let the big kids, like people with actual military training, handle this, OK? (ABC News, Huffington Post)
