Some fans of Sex and the City were none too pleased to hear that Stanford Blatch and Anthony Marantino were to wed in the 2010 sequel, as it seemed much too far-fetched. The characters have always had it out for one another, despite the New Year’s Eve lip-lock that took place in the first film.
"No, nothing's true," Mario Cantone, who portrays Charlotte’s BFF Anthony, told the New York Post's PopWrap. "I hadn't even read that. That's hilarious."
Gossip regarding a wedding spread along with the rumor that Liza Minnelli would be performing at the ceremony, which unfortunately will not be happening.
"No, I would have self-combusted! I would have been dead,” Mario joked. “I wouldn't be here talking to you. I don't even know that she's in the movie."
While he isn’t in the sequel as much as we’d like him to be, it’s good to hear that we’ll get some solid Anthony time! To see the rest of the interview with Mario, go to PopWrap.
